

Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro crater is a natural volcanic caldera within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area hosting over 25,000 large mammals include the Big Five. The Ngorongoro crater was formed over 2.5 million years ago covering approximately 260 square km. The crater floor is dominated by various types of habitats like Soda Lake, fresh water ponds, open grassland, woodlands, swamps, forest and water springs which makes the area a refuge for large number of wildlife including mammals and birds.
The best time to visit the Ngorongoro Crater is all year round. You can experience an amazing Game drive to the crater floor and having a special bush lunch while inside the crater floor. Walking safari is only conducted along the Ngorongoro crater rim, outside the crater and visitors must be accompanied by an armed ranger.
