Full Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival to the Airport and transfer to hotel.
Arrival to the airport, Kilimanjaro or Arusha then picked up by our drive guide then transfer the hotel for the preparation and accommodation.Our mountain guide will provide briefing and checkup of the equipments
Day 2
Transfer to Marangu Gate (1670m) – Mandara Hut (2720m)
Early morning transfer to Marangu gate for registration and final arrangements ready to begin the climbing safari.After registration begin walking through the rain forest vegetation to reach the Mandara hut for dinner and overnight.
Hike time: 3 hours, Distance: About 2 km, Habitat: Montane forest.
Day 3
Mandara Hut (2720m) – Horombo Hut (3720m)
Morning breakfast then begin walking to reach Horombo hut for dinner and overnight.
Hike time: 8 hours, Distance: About 11 km, Habitat: Moorland.
Day 4
Horombo Hut (3720m) – Kibo Hut (4720m)
After morning breakfast begin hiking a hike to reach Kibo Hut for dinner and rest for the midnight summit to Uhuru Peak.
Hiking time: 6 hours, Distance: About 8 km’s, Habitat: Alpine desert.
Day 5
Kibo Hut (4720m) – Uhuru Peak (5895m) – Horombo Hut (3720m)
Midnight wakeup ready to begin the final hiking to reach the peak. Aproach the peak at early morning then after staying for a short moment to the Uhuru peak descent to Horombo Hut for relaxation and also dinner and overnight.
Hiking time: 8 hours, Distance: About 11 km’s, Habitat: Alpine desert and Arctic with ice-capped..
Day 6
Horombo Hut (3720m) To Marangu Gate (1670m)
After morning breakfast descent to reach Mandara hut and then proceed down to Marangu gate. Taking almost 7 hours.
From Marangu gate meet and transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight or late transfer to airport for flight.
Hiking time: 7 hours, Distance: About 9 km, Habitat: Moorland and Rain Forest.
